Williams Rochdale MINI Surprise Competition Winners With Special MINI

Local pupils at Sandbrook Primary School received a surprise visit from Williams Rochdale this Friday, when a MINI featuring the winning designs of three pupils made a special playground appearance. Williams Rochdale teamed up with Sandbrook Primary School to launch a design competition for pupils, with the prize being the recreation of their entry onto a MINI.

The competition winners were surprised at the school on Friday prior to the school holidays.  The prizes were as follows: 1st place goes to Sara Valenta, 11, who saw her design go on the roof of the MINI.  2nd place goes to Owen Rafter, 8, who saw his design on the sides of the car and 3rd place goes to Lauren Powell, 11, whose design will was printed on the bonnet.

The children were asked to draw designs based on MINI’s latest MINIMALISM range with an emphasis on green driving and eco friendly cars.

The children got an extra special surprise when the MINI drove into the playground as they were led to believe that the winning designs had been transferred onto miniature MINIs.

Pupils from Sandbrook Primary School visited Williams Rochdale’s prestigious showroom on Gorrels Way recently for the special MINIVERSITY themed sales event where the design competition was launched. The pupils even graduated from MINIVERSITY.

Headteacher at Sandbrook Primary School, Mr Mulkeen said, ‘We are so excited about unveiling the children’s designs on the MINI.  They had no idea their designs were to be printed on a real car so it was a big shock!  They had a great time drawing their designs and to see them on the real thing will be wonderful and a great way to end the term.’
